Candidates should be organized, disciplined insurance support professionals that can work effectively in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Requirements
- Accuracy and proficiency in typing and proofreading
- Excellent organization and time management with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
- Good communication skills both verbal and listening
- An independent, detailed self-starter
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Nice To Haves
- 1 – 2 years of related experience preferred (Insurance Internships will be considered)
Responsibilities
- Maintain underwriting account clearance system
- Perform ratings
- Issue binders/policies/endorsements on behalf of the Environmental underwriting staff
- Create and maintain underwriting files
- Collect renewal information and prepare renewal submissions for underwriters
- Maintain business logs (renewal lists, NB lists etc.) as required
- Respond to brokers’ questions and troubleshoot in a timely fashion
