Underwriters are a vital part of our organization and play a direct role in shaping our business. In this role, you will do more than review applications. You will influence decision making processes by partnering closely with data and risk teams, and help drive meaningful improvements in how we evaluate and approve customers. Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound, consistent decisions
• Ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast paced environment
• Clear and professional communication skills
• A team oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
• Curiosity, accountability, and a strong cultural fit with a collaborative team
• Experience in underwriting, credit analysis, banking, financial services, or a related field is helpful but not required

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with credit reports such as TransUnion and Experian is a plus

Responsibilities

• Review and decision credit applications with speed and accuracy
• Analyze income documentation and verify applicant information
• Ensure decisions align with federal lending regulations such as ECOA, FCRA, and TILA Reg. Z, along with company guidelines
• Manage your pipeline of applications from review through final decision
• Communicate with internal teams and handle calls related to your applications
• Document clear and thorough notes to support each decision
• Meet performance goals for quality, productivity, and turnaround time
• Balance speed with thoughtful decision making, applying judgment rather than simply following a checklist
• Participate in ongoing training and development to strengthen your underwriting skills
