Role Overview Tokio Marine HCC – D&O provides specialized insurance products. The Underwriting position is based in Jersey City, NJ and focuses on Financial Institutions and/or public commercial accounts within the D&O Group. This role is designed to support the development of underwriting expertise through hands-on experience, exposure to real accounts, and collaboration with experienced team members.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Previous work experience in the relevant areas of Management Liability
Nice To Haves
- Internship or academic experience in finance, insurance, or a related field is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Follow underwriting guidelines to submit financial review along with exposure, loss and coverage analysis for new and renewal business
- Develop understanding of policy forms and coverage language and support discussions with brokers and clients
- Support broker relationship management and participate in underwriting discussions
- Participate in underwriting meetings and client interactions
- Contribute to identifying new business opportunities while maintaining profitability
- Build knowledge of financial, economic, and industry trends relevant to underwriting
