Role Overview Tokio Marine HCC – D&O provides specialized insurance products. The Underwriting position is based in Jersey City, NJ and focuses on Financial Institutions and/or public commercial accounts within the D&O Group. This role is designed to support the development of underwriting expertise through hands-on experience, exposure to real accounts, and collaboration with experienced team members.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Previous work experience in the relevant areas of Management Liability

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or academic experience in finance, insurance, or a related field is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Follow underwriting guidelines to submit financial review along with exposure, loss and coverage analysis for new and renewal business
  • Develop understanding of policy forms and coverage language and support discussions with brokers and clients
  • Support broker relationship management and participate in underwriting discussions
  • Participate in underwriting meetings and client interactions
  • Contribute to identifying new business opportunities while maintaining profitability
  • Build knowledge of financial, economic, and industry trends relevant to underwriting
