About The Position

Hiscox is an established market for Terrorism with a broad range of solutions including Active Shooter & Malicious Attack, Terrorism Liability, Sabotage, NCBR and Malicious Acts. Requirements

  • B.A./B.S degree from an accredited College or University
  • Experience in sales is ideal
  • Experience in insurance with established relationships with wholesale property and general liability brokers is a plus
  • Determination to succeed in a fast paced environment
  • Outgoing, driven, high attention to detail and results focused mentality
  • The ability to identify business needs
  • Strong understanding of basic sales principles, negotiation skills and demonstrate a competitive drive
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently in a collaborative environment
  • Innate service focus which enables one to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external customers and partners

Responsibilities

  • Underwrite, price and negotiate accounts consistent with the quality of risk and according to the company’s strategy and guidelines for the Terrorism product line
  • Develop new relationships and increase productivity of existing relationships with wholesale and retail brokers
  • Drive flow of qualified new business submissions from appointed brokers
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards
  • Monitor product results and develop ideas to increase productivity and profitability
  • At times, 30% regional travel required including industry events and broker visits
