About The Position

Global Insurance Programs are central to AXA XL’s offering to clients and its international businesses manage over 5000 programs worldwide arranging over 35,000 policies. The offering spans across all lines of business and our network is one of the largest carrier networks with over 200 countries and territories. Global Programs are a key pillar of AXA XL’s growth strategy, and AXA XL is well positioned as a top Global Program player as part of the overall AXA Group. Offering compliant US Local policies for our international customers as part of their Global Programs requires a Property skillset with a strong focus on US Regulatory, Forms (ISO and proprietary), Operations and Process.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Property Underwriting with Construction experience being a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO rating and ISO forms
  • Ability to use actuarial pricing tools to handle non-ISO accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Quote both new and renewal business produced by our overseas collages within parameters established by our Rules and Guidelines and Underwriting Authority Statement.
  • All business quoted must be within Regulatory Compliance Standards and will require knowledge of our Regulatory Resource Site, proper usage of deregulation and usage of the property actuarial pricing tool called Harta.
  • Once an account is bound work closely with your Underwriting Assistant to provide superior service to our local brokers by having binders and invoices issued promptly along with other service items such as endorsements, and certificates.
  • Complete the Underwriting Summary at the end of the underwriting process documenting the risk’s loss exposures and your underwriting rationale and thought process.
  • Complete peer reviews on your fellow team members as assigned and as a measure of how the team performs.
  • Work with Middle Office to help keep the items on our pending report to a minimum.
  • Work with Shared Services (ESS) by answering questions thoroughly to further develop their skills and give clear direction to ESS when requesting endorsements, certificates, binders and invoices.
  • Participate in Team Calls offering ideas on Underwriting Issues and issues that affect our Unit’s efficiencies.
  • Participate in Bi-Weekly call with ESS to improve our efficiencies across the board.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues in the assessment of current and prospective risks, including actuarial, claims, legal and risk engineering.
