About The Position

Mason Private Locating is a Midwest-based underground utility locating company specializing in Private Utility Locating, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), Robotic Pipe Inspections, and Cross-Bore Mitigation. Our experienced team utilizes cutting-edge technology to accurately identify underground infrastructure while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. As we continue expanding across the western United States, we're looking for experienced Utility Locating Technicians to join our team in Nevada. As a Utility Locator Technician, you'll locate and mark privately owned underground utilities supporting major fiber optic, infrastructure, and construction projects throughout Nevada, where some travel may be required. Requirements

• Minimum 1 + years utility locating experience required
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a physical examination and pre-employment drug screening
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to walk uneven terrain including dirt, gravel, grass, and roadways
• Willingness to travel overnight within Nevada as needed
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation

Responsibilities

• Locate and accurately mark underground utilities
• Read and interpret utility maps, plans, and construction prints
• Operate locating equipment safely and efficiently
• Complete required documentation and daily reports
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and teammates
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards
• Maintain company equipment and vehicle
• Perform additional duties as assigned
