About The Position
RQ Construction, LLC is seeking an Underground Pipe Layer to join their Field Operations team for construction projects in the Aguadilla, Puerto Rico area. This position is responsible for laying pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. The role involves performing tasks such as grading trenches or culverts, positioning pipe, or sealing joints on a project jobsite to safely produce quality work, within project requirements, targeted budget, and schedule, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. RQ Construction, LLC has been a leading force in the commercial and governmental Design-Build market since 1996, with projects across the United States and internationally.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- CPR Certification.
- First Aid Certification.
- OSHA 30-hour Certification.
- EM-385 Certification.
- STS Certification.
- Must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
- Must successfully pass a drug screening.
- Must successfully pass a commercial criminal background check.
- Must successfully pass a stricter Department of Defense background check for access to job site at military base (if applicable).
Nice To Haves
- One to two years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in the underground utility industry.
- Experience in government, military, or large commercial construction.
- Experience in the design-build industry.
