About The Position
Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) is seeking an experienced Network & Communications Technician for its Turquoise Ridge operations. This role is crucial for supporting the network and communications systems vital to the company's operations. The successful candidate will work safely and effectively with minimal supervision as part of the Network & Communications team. Requirements
- Strong knowledge of network and communication repair, installation, and troubleshooting of complex underground systems.
- A dedication to working within a team environment and maintaining a strong safety record is essential.
- Eagerness to learn and apply new skills for repairing and maintaining mining equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Formal education in network and/or communications (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Handle maintenance duties for underground and surface networks and communications equipment, including fiber optic networks, wireless systems, Cisco switches, radios, and radio controls.
- Assist in developing and executing projects to enhance both short- and long-term mine plans.
- Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, maintaining a focus on safety, communication, and efficiency.
