As an Underground Foreman, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right, being the best, and you’re up for the challenge. This is a temp to hire, travel position. In addition, you will use your knowledge and skills in construction to build, repair, and maintain projects, work in outdoor utility construction sites, troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field, train your crew on various kinds of tools and equipment, operate backhoes, dozers, cable plows, air compressors, trenchers, hydraulic reel trailers & other types of machinery, and manage all aspects of job-site construction.

• You know the telecom construction industry: Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, Aerial and Underground Construction, etc.
• MOS Codes 12H, 3E251, 3E271, 4305 relate well to this position.

Responsibilities

• Use your knowledge and skills in construction to build, repair, and maintain projects
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field
• Train your crew on various kinds of tools and equipment
• Operate backhoes, dozers, cable plows, air compressors, trenchers, hydraulic reel trailers & other types of machinery
• Manage all aspects of job-site construction

• Overtime pay will be provided in accordance with California labor laws, at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for hours worked over 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a workweek
• Per diem includes hotel + $50 for food
• Rest and Meal Breaks will be compensated for paid rest periods and granted unpaid meal breaks in accordance with California labor laws
