The Undergraduate Strategic Communication Intern will join the Data, Analytics, and Governance team, the University of St. Thomas’s internal data and analytics team within ITS. The team is building Tommie Lake, a central home for data from systems across the university, to make reliable data and analytics easier to access throughout St. Thomas. The intern will create, lead, and own a communication plan explaining the team’s work, Tommie Lake’s direction, and its value to audiences with varied roles and technical backgrounds. Work includes designing and maintaining an internal informational website, developing ongoing messaging, and producing content in appropriate formats. Projects may be tailored to the student’s interests, and training on necessary systems and information will be provided. This fully remote student position is 5 to 10 hours per week, Monday through Friday, mostly during the business day and scheduled around classes. Communication will primarily take place through Teams and Zoom. The role is expected to begin in J-term or spring 2027, depending on availability, with the intention that the student continues through the 2027–2028 academic year. Summer 2027 work may also be available. Juniors and seniors are encouraged to apply, though applicants graduating before the 2027–2028 academic year are also welcome. Eligible student employees must be degree-seeking at the undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral level and actively enrolled at least part-time in courses for credit. The University of St. Thomas is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
