About The Position
Undergraduate research assistants are students who, in the course of their academic training, are employed in part-time research positions, where the student's academic training is based in part on the research performed. This role will research accessibility cultures in the US and Germany, focusing on education and travel for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
Requirements
- Classified as an undergraduate student at the University of Central Oklahoma
- Basic knowledge of German
- Basic familiarity working with individuals who are blind or low vision
- Interest in German-speaking cultures
- Interest in accessibility in education and travel
- Sensitivity of intercultural communication
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented
- Dependable
- Punctual
