About The Position

This position is for an Undergraduate Research Assistant within the School of MIME. Duties will be determined by the hiring unit/supervisor and may include book reviews, publication research, laboratory experimentation, laboratory set-up and maintenance, data collection and analysis, and other related tasks. Additional duties will be specific to the funding and research topic.

Requirements

  • Academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard (High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program; Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term; Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term; Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term; Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term)
  • College of Engineering major
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Desire to be involved in hands-on research
