This Undergraduate Intern position in Environmental at Austin Aviation is designed to assist in general administrative or research functions, allowing the intern to develop a working knowledge of a targeted area in municipal government. The role involves observing and assisting professionals, coordinating and monitoring specific programs, researching and organizing data, performing analyses, and preparing reports to supplement academic knowledge. Interns will also participate in problem-solving and assist with special projects. Specifically, this position will support senior and mid-level staff with routine environmental inspections, utilize GPS units to record critical stormwater infrastructure, electrical vehicle charging infrastructure, chemical storage information, and waste management tracking in GIS. The intern will be required to perform fieldwork, operate City vehicles, and collect and organize data.
