Reporting to the Undergraduate Teaching and Learning Librarian, the Undergraduate Instruction Librarian supports core instruction and research programs geared towards incoming undergraduate students. This three year time-limited position is responsible for scheduling incoming instruction requests, designing, and delivering information literacy sessions to the First Year Writing Program in collaboration with course instructors and provides supporting research consultations. The Undergraduate Instruction Librarian collaborates with teammates to train and mentor graduate instructors from the School of Information and Library Science. Additionally, this position engages undergraduate students by participating in established outreach events and collaborating with key campus partners. This position is primarily on-site and requires occasional nights and weekends. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
