About The Position

The IT Services of the Applied Research Laboratory is seeking undergraduate students to work across a variety of information technology disciplines including, but not limited to: computing support, networking, systems administration, helpdesk support, and cybersecurity. ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.

Requirements

• Students studying Information Science and Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication, customer service, technical writing, and organizational skills
• You must be a U.S. citizen to apply.
• Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Configuration, installation, and support of network equipment as well as programming
• Microsoft Windows systems in a domain environment, iOS, and Linux

Responsibilities

• End-user support - Answering phones/emails
• Technical writing
• Assisting with installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and support of computing and network hardware and software
• Assisting in the development of process and equipment documentation; assisting with equipment inventory and auditing
• Assisting with cybersecurity initiatives
• Assisting with programming and software development tasks and other duties as assigned
