About The Position

The student(s) will be a research team with water resources-related research related to innovative approaches in controlled environment agriculture in New Mexico. Primarily tasks will include assisting with literature reviews, supporting in-person events, and other research related tasks. For more information on the project, see https://tricea.unm.edu/

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM
  • Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count)
  • If Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
  • Willingness to learn some basic software
  • An ability to type well
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Ability to meet in person and via Zoom for regular scheduled meetings.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Access to a computer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with research tasks as needed based on the demands of assigned project.
  • Work with various members of the research group, including other undergraduate researchers, graduate researchers, and the PIs.
  • Meet with the PIs and other members of the team, as needed, and check and respond to email on a consistent basis.
  • The students will also gain an understanding of interview research methods and environmental social science research in general.
