Principal System Administrators, internally known as Principal Analyst, Information Workplace Services collaborate with diverse teams to support continuously evolving, Engineering environments with unclassified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various unclassified Engineering Labs. Engineering teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Must have ability to gain a US DoD secret clearance; US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for security clearance.
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux Server Operating Systems (OS)

Nice To Haves

  • Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification).
  • Direct working experience with DFARS, RMF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange.
  • Scripting Experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize your knowledge and skills regarding System & Service integration to include, but not limited to, authentication protocols, patch management, network segregation, and vulnerability management.
  • Use multiple operating systems and hardware platforms to include OT (Operational Technology).
  • Work in a collaborative, multi-cross functional team environment.
  • Develop troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical and environmental issues within Engineering and Factory spaces.
  • Work with the Cyber & Compliance Teams to maintain RTX standards and DFARS requirements which include assessments, implementation steps, and ensuring the integrity of the security authorization package.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
