Position Overview The Emergency Support Officer (ESO) is a key member of our operations team, providing rapid-response coverage for open shifts, call-offs, and urgent security needs across multiple client sites. This role is ideal for individuals who are: Flexible and reliable Strong in customer service Comfortable working in different environments Looking to grow into long-term opportunities with Armorous As an ESO, you’ll gain exposure to a variety of assignments while playing a critical role in maintaining service continuity for our clients. Schedule & Availability On-call / as-needed position All shifts available: day, swing, and graveyard Must be open to weekdays, weekends, and holidays Ability to respond to short-notice assignments is strongly preferred
Requirements
- Valid BSIS Guard Card (required)
- Ability to provide 40 hours of BSIS training certifications
- Initial 8-Hour Guard Card training Certificate
- 32-Hours of Continued Education
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between sites
- Comfortable working independently in new or unfamiliar environments
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Must pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, kneeling, and climbing
- Maintain alertness and awareness for extended periods
- ESOs must work a minimum of three (3) shifts per calendar quarter to remain active (unless otherwise approved)
- Officers must be able to report to various locations with minimal notice

Responsibilities
- Provide professional security presence across a variety of client sites
- Follow all site-specific post orders and company policies
- Monitor for suspicious activity, hazards, and safety concerns
- Control access points and perform patrols as required
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies appropriately
- De-escalate situations while maintaining professionalism
- Communicate clearly with Operations regarding site updates and issues
- Complete accurate and timely activity and incident reports
- Maintain proper uniform, grooming, and compliance standards
