About The Position

Top Guard Security is seeking a dedicated and experienced Unarmed Security - Shift Supervisor to join our team. We are the leading security guard service provider for the Virginia Peninsula, the Southside, Tri-Cities, and Chester, offering a range of services including unarmed and armed security officers and mobile patrol. We serve diverse clients such as industrial and manufacturing facilities, commercial properties, government entities, residential communities, healthcare, and retail establishments. Requirements

Must have a clean driving record.
Must have either military, law enforcement, or corrections background, or at least 1 year security experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Five (5) years of security experience.
Leadership experience in a security or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.
Proficient with Genetec security software administration.
Valid Virginia driver’s license required.
Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Private Security Certification or willingness to be trained in the use of pepper spray, tasers, and handcuffs through a certified training program.
CPR/AED/ First Aid certification or willingness to complete a training program with a certified instructor.
DCJS Unarmed card
Valid Driver's License
Current Driving Record with no more than 3 tickets

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct security personnel during assigned shifts.
Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance systems to prevent security breaches.
Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and security threats.
Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.
Train and mentor security officers to uphold safety standards.
Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
Maintain accurate reports of security incidents and shift activities.
Conduct security inspections and provide recommendations for improvement.
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
