About The Position

Master Security is committed to providing clients with qualified candidates to safeguard assets, property, and personnel. We have established criteria for our security officers to ensure optimal service delivery and enhance their chances of success. This role involves outdoor patrol and requires a Maryland Guard Card. The schedule is 36 hours a week, Monday through Thursday, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour. Responsibilities include maintaining daily logs, documenting incidents, conducting patrols, enforcing customer rules, and arriving on time in proper uniform.

Requirements

Minimum age requirement of 18 years
Legal work status in the US
Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass a drug screening
Reliable and functional transportation (Public transportation is not acceptable)
Ownership of a cell phone for contact by Operations Supervisors
Ability to pass a criminal background check with no felony arrests or convictions
Ability to obtain an MD Guard Card
Ability to perform duties as stated in post orders, which may include standing/walking for extended periods or lifting
Familiarity with mobile technology (tablets, smartphones, etc.)
Possession of a VALID full driver’s license (public transportation is not acceptable)

Responsibilities

Maintain a daily log of all activities during your assigned shift at your assigned post
Document all incidents occurring during your assigned shift in a detailed incident report
Conduct walking/vehicular patrols throughout your shift
Enforce customer rules in a professional and courteous manner
Arrive on time and in proper uniform at your assigned post
Ability to interact and communicate with the public
Effective oral and written communication skills
Active listening skills
Ability to assess and evaluate emergencies effectively
Ability to quickly and accurately identify critical issues and respond appropriately
