Requirements

Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to obtain Iowa State guard card
Valid Driver's License
Clean MVR
Ability to communicate effectively - both written and verbal
Ability to document all activities/incidents
Exceptional people skills
Attention to detail with the ability to follow all policies and procedures on post orders
Ability to react calmly and professionally to emergency situations
Responsibility for securing the entire premises - both interior and exterior
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
HS Diploma GED or H.S. Equivalent

Responsibilities

Provide security services at assigned locations with a focus on observing and reporting.
Monitor and report all activity, including suspicious activities and persons.
Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs).
Enforce post orders, site rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
Execute security services as outlined in the Post Order Manual and accompanying policy and procedural guidelines.
Conduct walking patrols of building/facility or assigned areas.
Identify and report security threats, unsafe conditions or hazards, and other emergency situations.
Perform site-specific duties such as customer service, loss prevention, retail security, lobby/visitor reception, service/freight elevator security, loading dock security, and other safety and security roles.
Contact appropriate individuals (Site Supervision, Field Management, etc.) as directed or needed.
Follow all company procedures, maintain acceptable attendance, and adhere to grooming and customer service standards.
Participate in all company and site required orientation and training programs.
Respond to incidents in conformity with Post Orders and the Company’s Use of Force Policy, ensuring appropriate action, report completion, and timely notification.
Conduct security, customer service, or support functions as directed by supervisor or in support of client request(s).
