About The Position

Security Engineers is seeking a dedicated Unarmed Security Officer to help maintain safe and secure environments for clients. Officers deter incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. The role involves patrols, monitoring access points and surveillance systems, verifying identification, responding to alarms and emergencies, keeping detailed logs, and assisting visitors and employees professionally. Officers are expected to enforce site-specific post orders and security protocols and ensure compliance with company and client policies. The schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, at $16.50 per hour. This is a full-time third-shift position that includes weekends. Employment is contingent on satisfactory completion of a post-offer background investigation and drug screen; a criminal background check may be required by law for this safety-sensitive licensed security work.

Requirements

Have or obtain a valid Security Officer/Guard License as required by the state licensing authority.
Be at least 18 years old.
Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Weekend availability.
Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations.
Basic computer skills and ability to use tablets for reporting.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to obtain all required security certifications and licenses.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
At least 1 year of verifiable security, law enforcement, or military experience.
At least 2 years of verifiable customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct walking patrols to identify and report safety concerns.
Monitor access points and verify IDs and credentials.
Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity.
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents according to protocol.
Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents.
Perform routine security tasks, such as locking and unlocking doors.
Assist visitors and employees professionally.
Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols.
Ensure compliance with Security Engineers and client policies, including policies concerning smoking, loitering, and parking.
