About The Position

Security Management of South Carolina is seeking motivated, professional, and self-starting individuals to provide security services at a local residential/resort community. Officers protect people and property, report safety concerns and security breaches, and build effective relationships with homeowners and guests. They communicate professionally and welcomingly with homeowners and guests. The position includes patrol and gate assignments, with listed shifts of 0700–1500, 1500–2300, and 2300–0700. Pay is $20 per hour for patrol and $19 per hour for gate assignments. Three openings are available. The position reports to the Operations Manager.

Requirements

• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Speak fluent English.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• If a military veteran, have an honorable discharge as documented on the DD 214.
• Pass a criminal record background check.
• Pass a 13-panel drug test covering illegal drugs and prescriptions.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Provide a current three-year driving record.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be able to stand unassisted and walk continuously for extended periods.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail while on duty.
• Be able to stand or walk for multiple hours, potentially an entire shift, on varied surfaces.
• Be able to climb stairs occasionally, bend or twist occasionally, lift or carry up to 40 pounds occasionally, and run as needed.
• Use both hands and arms constantly for radio, phone, computer, writing reports, and other administrative tasks.
• Use eyes constantly to read, view security monitors, and observe or interact with people.
• Be able to work in and adapt to varying environments and changing outdoor conditions, including cold, rain, or heat.
