About The Position

As an Unarmed Security Officer Train Station Graveyard in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. You will contribute to a welcoming environment through routine rounds and timely reporting while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, hazards, or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify authorized access in accordance with site policies; and document visitor activity as assigned.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders; and prepare required reports.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
