About The Position

Doyle Security Services is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a driving post on a college campus. The officer operates a company vehicle to conduct routine mobile patrols, monitor for suspicious activity, respond promptly to incidents or alarms, and provide a visible security presence. The role requires accurate reporting of daily activities, incidents, and observations, as well as effective communication with supervisors, clients, and local authorities as needed. The officer must follow company policies, traffic laws, and safety procedures while providing professional customer service. The schedule lists two options: 0700–1500 (40 hours) and 1500–2300 (40 hours). Starting pay is USD $19.50 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
A 5–7-year U.S. work history may be required.
Valid New York State Security Guard License.
Valid driver license.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to understand English and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Physical ability to perform the tasks required by the position.

Responsibilities

Monitor and report activities and incidents at the assigned site to help ensure the safety and security of personnel and property.
Conduct mobile patrols and complete scans every thirty minutes.
Maintain order and enforce site-specific regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and the premises.
Secure the premises by inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry.
Record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities in reports.
Perform tasks assigned by a supervisor or manager.
Respond promptly to incidents or alarms and communicate with supervisors, clients, and local authorities as necessary.
