Requirements

  • Must remain legally eligible and properly credentialed to perform duties as an Unarmed Special Police Officer in the District of Columbia.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Maintain a current and valid District of Columbia Special Police Officer (SPO) license/commission for unarmed duties.
  • Complete and maintain all required District of Columbia SPO training and continuing training requirements.
  • Meet applicable criminal-history, fingerprinting, drug-screening, physical-fitness, psychological-fitness, and suitability requirements.
  • Remain appropriately affiliated or designated with an authorized District of Columbia security agency as required.
  • Comply with all applicable District of Columbia requirements governing the duties and responsibilities of an Unarmed Special Police Officer.
  • Maintain all licenses, commissions, certifications, and qualifications required by the District of Columbia, PGSUSA, and the client throughout employment.
  • Report any changes to licensing or credential status that may affect eligibility to perform assigned duties.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Applicants who do not currently possess a valid District of Columbia Special Police Officer (SPO) license/commission for unarmed duties will not be considered for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in security, military, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred
