As a Security Officer Patrol Duty Specialist in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have clean background
  • Must have a high school diploma, or GED or Official transcripts
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, government location policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or supervisors.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify security-related concerns and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing authorized individuals, deliveries, and visitors in accordance with post orders and location protocols.
  • Support day-to-day operations at the location by maintaining a visible presence, communicating clearly with Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives, and completing required reports in a timely manner.
