About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Unarmed Security Guard to join our team in Sacramento, CA. This full-time position involves ensuring the safety and security of cemetery grounds, visitors, and property. The role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The ideal candidate will be professional, reliable, and committed to maintaining a secure environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant security experience.
• Valid California Security Guard Card (BSIS) required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a background check and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Fluent in English with strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Physically able to perform foot patrols and work extended shifts.
• Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols across cemetery grounds, including buildings, memorial areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor and control access points, including locking and unlocking gates.
• Provide security presence during funeral services and special events, assisting with traffic and crowd control.
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, coordinating with VA Police or local authorities as needed.
• Maintain situational awareness and report suspicious activity or hazards immediately.
• Complete and submit daily activity logs and incident reports within required timelines.
• Safeguard government property and ensure all areas are secured at the end of each shift.
• Provide courteous assistance to visitors while maintaining a respectful and professional demeanor.
• Follow all Post Orders and communicate effectively with the facility personnel.
