About The Position

The Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for providing security services at a client site(s) during scheduled shifts. The guard's schedule, site assignments, and hours are subject to change based on client needs, staffing requirements, call-offs, and contract adjustments. While SSPG strives to accommodate preferred schedules, flexibility is essential for the role. The Unarmed Security Guard will provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets. They will be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed, with schedules and locations subject to change depending on client needs, staffing requirements, or other operational factors. Maintaining professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff is crucial, ensuring that all communication fosters a positive and secure environment. The guard will conduct regular patrols of the assigned site and monitor surveillance equipment, ensuring adherence to the client’s security protocols. They will accurately document any incidents, security breaches, or irregularities, and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel for follow-up. Additional duties may be assigned by the Silver Star leadership team.

Requirements

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Active PERC required.
Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
Capability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.
Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Previous unarmed security or related experience preferred.
