Unarmed F03/F04 Fireguards for Special Events
About The Position
Doyle Security Services, Inc. (DSS) is seeking experienced F-03, F-04 Fireguards / Security Officers in the New York City area for Special Events. This role involves monitoring access points, conducting security checks, crowd management, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for guests. The position requires following access control procedures, maintaining exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and observing/reporting activities to ensure the security and safety of client property and personnel. Officers will make periodic tours to check for irregularities, preserve order, and enforce regulations. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid NYS Security Guard License
- Must hold a valid F-03 and F-04 Certificate of Fitness (FDNY)
- Must be available to work weekends
- Must have exceptional Customer Service Skills
- Must be able to verbally de-escalate situations
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to understand the English and Spanish languages and communicate it effectively in both the verbal and written form
Nice To Haves
- Security or related experience or customer service knowledge and college level education can be substituted for work experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor access points and conduct thorough security checks
- Crowd management, including controlling entry and exit points and ensuring proper flow of attendees
- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for guests and attendees
- Follow access control procedures as directed
- Maintaining exceptional communication, hospitality, and interpersonal skills
- Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
- Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities.
- Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
- Provide professional, discreet security services for VIP clients, ensuring their safety and privacy at all times
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding VIP clients' identities, schedules, and personal information
- Monitor access points and screen visitors to prevent unauthorized contact with VIP clients
- Respond swiftly and calmly to security incidents, de-escalating situations with minimal disruption to the client
