About The Position

This position provides support to URM placing agencies, coordinates placements of URM, works with LFSRM and other community partners to facilitate URM community referrals, and facilitates the distribution of resources to providers. This position implements federal policy impacting Colorado’s ORR-eligible youth and ensures that Colorado’s ORR-eligible youth programs comply with current policy and rule from the Office of Refugee Resettlement and the Children’s Bureau.

Requirements

Six (6) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position OR A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to six (6) years.
Full Background Check (CBI name check and fingerprint check, ICON Colorado court database, Medicare fraud database, Reference Checks, Professional License verification (licensure requirements), Drug Screen, PREA (Division of Youth Services), Trails check (direct contact with children), CAPS (direct contact with adults – Mental Health Institutes, Regional Centers, Veterans Community Living Centers)).
State of Colorado residency at the time of application and throughout employment.
Motor Vehicle Check (if driving a state-owned vehicle).
Possess a valid, non-restricted Colorado Driver’s License or a non-restricted U.S. Driver's License for positions within 30 miles of the CO state border. Out-of-State Driver’s License holders must obtain a valid, non-restricted Colorado Driver’s License within 30 days of employment start date.
Must be able to be Case Work Supervisor Certified within 6 months of employment.
Former State employees who were disciplinarily terminated or resigned in lieu of termination must disclose that information on the application, provide an explanation, and provide their prior employee number.

Responsibilities

Review of Refugee Arrivals Data System (RADS) referrals, ensuring that URM placing agencies are responding to referrals in a timely manner.
Coordination with placement provider agencies and county departments of human/social services that provide services to URM Program youth to support sustainable placement.
Collaboration with community agencies that serve refugee and immigrant populations to help build cultural and social connections for URM Program youth and URM placing agencies to provide culturally competent services.
Training facilitation and partnership opportunities between refugee and youth service providers in the State.
Support to URM placing agencies.
Coordination of placements of URM.
Work with LFSRM and other community partners to facilitate URM community referrals.
Facilitate the distribution of resources to providers.
Implement federal policy impacting Colorado’s ORR-eligible youth.
Ensure that Colorado’s ORR-eligible youth programs comply with current policy and rule from the Office of Refugee Resettlement and the Children’s Bureau.
Other duties as assigned.
