As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will provide clear and accurate images to help physicians assess and diagnose various conditions. Working with fellow department and medical staff, you will help facilitate a calming and welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable, safe and educated throughout their exams. You will also ensure equipment is properly maintained and sterile to promote efficient delivery of care. Every day, your ability to put patients at ease, offer a compassionate demeanor and facilitate open communication can enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working day/evening/night/weekend shifts between 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Sonography program
  • American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registered or board eligible
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 18 months of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience as a Sonographer in an acute care imaging setting

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine imaging, emergent and invasive procedures to detect pathology.
  • Safely operate equipment and maintain standards while performing procedures.
  • Provide copies of imaging studies.
  • Complete and ensure that all electronic data is sent to its appropriate destination.
  • Inspect equipment to ensure proper orientation and contact service if necessary.
  • Document in charts upon completion of procedures.
  • Maintain adequate supplies in the work area.
