About The Position

The Ultrasound Technologist will examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient. They will assist the Radiologist in the performance of invasive procedures, evaluate the technical quality of the exam, and develop a superior varied technique for elevated efficiency in the department. The technologist will support and contribute to the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy, understanding that every staff member is a Caregiver whose role is to meet the needs of each patient. They will report malfunctioning equipment to the Assistant Director, Lead Sonographer and/or Engineer. The role involves operating the Radiology computer system, including entering and charging exams and supplies. The technologist will maintain their assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion and assist in keeping the area completely stocked. Adherence to departmental rules and regulations while performing in a professional manner is expected.

Requirements

• Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S) required.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Interpersonal skills required

• Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program preferred.
