About The Position

This is a full-time, day shift position that also requires on-call availability. The role demands close attention to detail in performing procedures, techniques, patient positioning, and monitoring for contrast media side effects. The technologist must be able to work independently, make quick decisions, and handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting and transporting patients and maneuvering equipment in confined spaces. Normal vision and hearing are necessary for assessing image quality and communication.

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Ultrasound.
• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist through ARRT or Registered Nurse with clinical experience and be registered or registry eligible within one year of training (to be eligible for on the job training).
• Current BLS certification.
• Registered in Vascular Technology through ARDMS or CCI.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in applied sciences preferred.
• All other registries encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures with attention to detail regarding technique and positioning.
• Monitor patients for contrast media side effects.
• Work unsupervised and make quick decisions.
• Lift and transport patients.
• Move mobile ultrasound units.
• Maneuver in close quarters and around equipment.
• Frequently or for prolonged periods stand, sit, stoop, and bend.
• Assess film quality.
• Communicate via telephone.
