About The Position

The multi-registered Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound and non-invasive vascular procedures at a technical level that does not require constant supervision, and assumes responsibility for designated procedures as required. The role ensures high-quality performance and patient care for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, with attention to their physical needs and limitations.

The technologist provides ultrasound services including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, neurological, and limited vascular examinations. The role also involves documenting images, supporting the department as a team player, maintaining equipment, reporting malfunctioning devices, and transporting patients as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Sonography.
• ARDMS abdomen certification required.
• RVT certification required.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality ultrasound services, including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, small parts, neurological, and limited vascular examinations.
• Photograph images shown on the display module or remove strip printouts from equipment to create permanent records of internal examinations.
• Work as a team player and meet the needs of the Ultrasound department.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and report malfunctioning devices.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound and non-invasive vascular procedures and assume responsibility for designated procedures as required.
• Provide quality patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients according to their physical needs and limitations.
