About The Position

Join our team as a PRN Ultrasound Technologist at Riverton Hospital. We're seeking an experienced, fully registered Ultrasound Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services and help support variable staffing needs by picking up shifts as department needs arise. Qualified candidates with applicable experience may be hired as an Ultrasound Technologist II.

Requirements

Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) - Successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics (options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, and vascular)
Health Services\BCLS - Basic life support (Certification for Healthcare Providers)
Ultrasound Imaging Techniques

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to department protocols and physician orders.
Reviews images for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
Verifies patient identity, explains procedures, and ensures patient comfort and safety.
Maintains ARDMS certification and modality-specific competencies.
Practices appropriate infection prevention and sterile technique.
Documents procedures and maintains accurate patient records.
Operates ultrasound equipment and related systems effectively.
Assists with training and mentoring students and staff as needed.
