About The Position

Water's Edge Dermatology, an AQUA Dermatology portfolio practice, is Florida’s largest and most comprehensive full-service skin care provider in the Southeast, offering medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, vein care and radiation oncology. The ideal Ultrasound Technologist candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, highly dependable, organized, and can multi-task. The RVT is responsible for performing vascular ultrasound examinations and supporting venous services across our expanding West Coast practices at The Vein Center at Riverchase Dermatology. All vascular work is performed in an office setting utilizing minimally invasive procedures. This is a great outpatient opportunity with a flexible schedule and no nights or weekends.

Requirements

  • Certificate of completion from an accredited Ultrasound program.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT/RVS).
  • Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and co-workers.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, understand provider instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
  • Proficient communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Flexibility and adaptability as it relates to schedules, responsibilities, and priorities.
  • Able to travel between multiple locations and work effectively in a team environment, maintaining professional relationships with patients, providers, supervisors, and administrators.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience in a clinical setting preferred; will train the right candidate.
  • Vascular/vein or surgical experience is preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Performing vascular ultrasounds, venous mapping ultrasounds, and lower extremity arterial ultrasounds.
  • Assisting providers in providing quality care to patients.
  • Greeting and preparing patients for examinations and treatments.
  • Setting up and cleaning up ultrasound rooms before and after each patient, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Reviewing relevant medical history, maintaining patient records and documentation accurately and confidentially, and maintaining notes in the EMR system.
  • Obtaining appropriate consents when necessary.
  • Performing patient callbacks and handling administrative duties when necessary.
  • Traveling to other practice locations as needed.
