Ultrasound Technologist - PRN
About The Position
Fairfax Radiology Centers is hiring a PRN Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer to provide diagnostic ultrasound services at Fairfax Radiology Center of Woodbridge-Prince William, with opportunities to support multiple outpatient imaging centers. The role performs general ultrasound examinations and produces high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation while providing compassionate, patient-centered care. The posted schedule is a day shift with 8-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with no weekends, major holidays, evenings, or call. The role is open to experienced sonographers and new graduates who meet the required certification qualifications.
Requirements
- RDMS certification upon hire.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of general sonography experience.
- Experience performing obstetric, gynecologic, abdominal, and small-parts ultrasound examinations.
- Experience working in an outpatient imaging environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality general diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including obstetric examinations across the first, second, and third trimesters, gynecology, abdominal imaging, and small-parts imaging.
- Produce consistently excellent diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
- Create a welcoming and reassuring experience for each patient.
- Explain procedures clearly and compassionately.
- Monitor patient comfort throughout each examination.
- Provide outstanding customer service during patient interactions.
