About The Position

This position examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient. The Ultrasound Technologist assists the Radiologist in the performance of invasive procedures, evaluates the technical quality of the exam, and develops a superior varied technique for elevated efficiency in the department. The role supports and contributes to the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by understanding that every staff member is a Caregiver, whose role is to meet the needs of each patient. The technologist will report malfunctioning equipment to the Assistant Director, Lead Sonographer and/or Engineer. They will operate the Radiology computer system to include entering and charging exams and supplies. The role also involves maintaining the assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion and assisting in keeping the area completely stocked. Adherence to departmental rules and regulations while performing in a professional manner is expected.

Requirements

• Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S) required.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Interpersonal skills required

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program preferred.
