About The Position
The Ultrasound Technologist performs duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures related to diagnostic ultrasound for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. As a member of the Resource Allocation Pool Plus team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational continuity by covering critical openings in specialized areas, maintaining robust staffing profiles, especially during peak seasons, and offering flexible working options for allied health professionals to support work-life balance.
Requirements
- Completion of academic requirements from an ultrasound program required.
- Certification in Ultrasound Technology by ARDMS required or must obtain certification within 2 years of employment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and accurate records.
- Communicate clearly with team members and uphold patient confidentiality.
- Monitor supplies and report needs.
- Perform diagnostic and surgical ultrasound procedures.
- Support training efforts and assist technologists as needed.
- Participate in continuing education and implement new procedures.
- Work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise sound judgment.
- Report equipment issues and ensure images are properly processed.
