At SimonMed Imaging, diagnostic quality starts with you. Our Ultrasound Technologists are essential to delivering the advanced outpatient imaging our patients and referring physicians depend on. From abdominal and OB/GYN studies to small parts and vascular exams, this role ensures every scan meets the highest clinical standards. Requirements

  • ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or applicable specialty required — or registry-eligible with a clear path to certification
  • Completed accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Current BLS certification
  • Valid state licensure current (where required)
  • Proficiency in ultrasound equipment and PACS, RIS, and EMR systems
  • Strong image optimization and multi-specialty scanning protocol knowledge
  • Ability to work independently in a high-volume outpatient environment
  • Strong communication skills with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff
  • Commitment to QA participation and ongoing professional development
  • Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of clinical ultrasound experience (general, OB/GYN, and/or vascular) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform the full spectrum of ultrasound exams—abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN across all three trimesters, small parts, and vascular studies.
  • Own the quality of every image produced.
  • Review own work for diagnostic completeness before it reaches the radiologist.
  • Manage own workflow.
  • Keep exam area stocked and clean.
  • Support departmental operations.
  • Adapt when exams run long, when protocols shift, or when a patient requires extra time and care.
  • Provide clear explanation of the procedure to patients.
  • Confirm clinical history with patients.
  • Provide genuine care for patient comfort.
  • Mentor students or new staff.
  • Share scanning instincts.
  • Model protocol compliance.
  • Participate in quality assurance.
  • Engage in continuing education.
