The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for positioning patients and selecting appropriate technical factors and equipment to obtain scans of optimal quality, utilizing necessary immobilization techniques. This role involves obtaining patient history to provide radiologists with adequate information for interpretation, assisting physicians with recommendations for optimal studies, and maintaining positive guest relations. The technologist must comply with established safety standards to ensure patient and staff well-being, maintain department records, and keep abreast of current ultrasound skills and developments. Instruction and assistance may be provided to students or fellow technologists.
