About The Position

This job requires that the candidate adheres to departmental production, fulfills compliance with life, fire and hazardous waste requirements, radiation safety, and infection control requirements. Maintains licensure, participates in CEU’S, performs ultrasound procedures. Participates in clinical and clerical activities.

Requirements

  • ARDMS eligible
  • Associate degree or Equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Sonography school or program of Sonography
  • Candidates must obtain ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) certification within six months of their hire date.
  • Applicants must have successfully completed the Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) exam.
  • Documentation of a passing grade for the SPI exam is required as a prerequisite for approval of the six-month period to obtain the ARDMS certification.
  • BLS

Nice To Haves

  • General, Vascular, portables, 1 year experience preferred.
  • Additional Certification preferred: RVT
  • Expected training in elastography, thyroidectomies, pediatrics (echoencephalpgraphy, hips, spines), PVRs, TCDs, GYN exams, and all vascular exams (arterial and venous duplexes, dialysis grafts, extremity mappings, carotids, abdomen venous, etc)
