About The Position

Fairfax Radiology Centers is seeking a part-time Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for its Alexandria Imaging Center. The role performs general ultrasound examinations and provides professional, compassionate, patient-centered care. The consistent weekday schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM. There are no weekends, evenings, major holidays, or call. Free on-site parking is available. Compensation is $39.95–$54.05 per hour, with placement based on experience, education, certifications, and internal equity. Fairfax Radiology Centers, LLC is the largest radiology practice in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, with more than 110 subspecialized radiologists and 700 employees. It provides outpatient imaging at 20 locations throughout Northern Virginia and partners with local hospitals and healthcare providers.

Requirements

RDMS certification required upon hire.
Current BLS certification.
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first mindset.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of general ultrasound experience is preferred.
Breast ultrasound experience is a plus but is not required.
New graduates in Diagnostic Medical Sonography are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality general ultrasound examinations, including first-trimester OB, GYN, abdominal, and small-parts exams.
Consistently acquire and evaluate high-quality images for diagnostic accuracy.
Communicate effectively with radiologists regarding exam findings.
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with professionalism and empathy.
