About The Position

This is a full-time Ultrasound Technologist position specializing in OB/GYN at SGPA in Brunswick.

Requirements

• Proficiency in performing sonographic scanning per established protocols and procedures.
• Ability to consult with Radiologists for clinical deviations.
• Knowledge of proper sterilization procedures and maintenance of intra-cavity scanning probes.
• Commitment to staying updated on new procedures, equipment, and methods.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with medical staff, interdepartmental personnel, and the public.
• Ability to maintain confidential and accurate records, both manually and electronically.
• Skill in monitoring and ensuring patient charts/records are complete and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Continually strives to make the best use of time during assigned shift through careful coordination of daily tasks.
• Performs sonographic scanning per established protocols and procedures. Consults with the Radiologists for any clinical deviations concerning patient care/scan protocol.
• Promotes patient safety through proper sterilization procedures and maintenance of the intra-cavity scanning probes.
• Remains abreast of new procedures, equipment, and methods along with participation in evaluation and application.
• Responsible for communicating with medical staff, interdepartmental personnel, and public regarding customer needs.
• Maintains extremely confidential and accurate records, manually and electronically, to ensure appropriate patient data is available.
• Is responsible for monitoring and ensuring patient charts/records are complete and accurate.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
