The Ultrasound Technologist performs a variety of cardiac, vascular and general ultrasound procedures with directions from the Radiologist and Cardiologists and other Physicians using ultrasound to perform diagnostic procedures. The technologist must adhere to State Licensure scope of practice and medical staff approved protocols. The responsibility of the Ultrasound Technologist include empathetic and instructional approach to patient care, the preparation, operation of imaging, collection of data using computers, necessary imaging devices and care of instrumentation.
