Ultrasound Technologist
About The Position
A community healthcare facility a few hundred miles away from Juneau, Alaska is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join its team. This is a full-time, permanent position with a schedule of Monday - Friday. The role involves maintaining ethical working relationships and good rapport with patients, staff, and interrelating hospitals or agencies. The technologist will use high-frequency sound waves to create diagnostic images of the body's internal organs, tissues, and blood flow. Additionally, they will be responsible for calibrating and maintaining the equipment, ensuring proper function, and reporting any malfunctions or performance issues to appropriate staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a sonographer.
- ARDMS Breast Certification.
Responsibilities
- Maintain ethical working relationships and good rapport with patients, staff, and interrelating hospitals or agencies.
- Use high-frequency sound waves to create diagnostic images of the body's internal organs, tissues, and blood flow.
- Calibrate and maintain the equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or performance issues to appropriate staff.
