About The Position

Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures at a technical level. Perform all forms of ultrasound procedures within the facility. Operate and maintain radiology equipment. Perform various clerical duties as needed. Assist in organizing, directing, and coordinating the functions/activities of the Radiology department. Review department policies and procedures at least annually. Ensure that radiologic/ultrasound procedures are performed according to prioritized needs. Maintain proper records regarding all radiologic/ultrasound procedures. Assist in training other departmental personnel. Responsible for calculating and recording test results, standards, and controls. Actively participate in meetings and committees as required and requested. Assist in coordinating with the payroll department to assure an accurate and effective payroll process for the department staff. Assist in implementation of recommendations from the facility's committees. Report all required incidents and accidents on proper forms. Ensure that patient rights are well established and followed by all department personnel.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
  • Previous experience in clinical setting required.
  • ARDMS registered or eligible required.
  • Previous ultrasound experience required.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • Kind and professional demeanor.

  • Communicate positively and effectively, both written and verbally, with patients, family, and staff.
