About The Position
The Ultrasound Technologist (RDMS Registered) performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of general ultrasound experience
- Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist training program (including military training)
- Associate’s Degree required
- RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) – Required
Nice To Haves
- BLS – Preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform general ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians
- Ensure high-quality imaging for accurate diagnostic results
- Prepare patients and clearly explain procedures
- Monitor patient condition throughout procedures
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment
- Accurately document procedures and findings
- Ensure compliance with documentation and record-keeping standards
- Work closely with physicians and healthcare teams
- Communicate effectively regarding patient status and imaging results
