Ultrasound Technologist
About The Position
Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, a 250-bed, not-for-profit regional referral hospital. The Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. This role involves positioning the patient and equipment, producing appropriate recordings, and processing and transmitting images to PACS.
Requirements
- RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 1 year from date of hire and maintain.
- Graduate an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire.
- Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.
- Proficient computer skills.
